Get out in the sunshine!

Ireland's mini heatwave is set to come to an end at the start of next week, but today and tomorrow promise to be hot days.

Highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees across the eastern half of Ulster, highs of 17 or 18 degrees further west, with light or moderate westerly winds.

The solar UV index shows it will be low to moderate under cloud and high in sunshine on Saturday and Sunday.

It will be dry and mild tonight. Skies will largely clear overnight but will remain cloudy near western coasts of Ulster. Some mist or fog patches may form. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with light southwest winds.

Tomorrow Sunday will be humid and very warm or hot in most areas. It will hold dry for much of the day with a moderate, occasionally fresh, southwest breeze. There will be good sunny spells, but it will be cloudier near western coasts. Highest temperatures of 22 to 26 degrees across the eastern half of Ulster. A little cooler further west with highs of 17 to 21 degrees there. It will turn cloudier in the evening with some showers breaking out.
