James (Jim) Hand

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Hand, Baileborough Road, Shercock, Cavan. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved husband of Ann and father of Joanne, Francis, Patrick and Collette, adored grandfather of Rhiannon, Alyssa, Jorja and Madison. Brother of the late Peter and brothers Pat Joe (Corlea, Kingscourt), Thomas and Micheal (USA). Sadly missed by his son-in-law Jimmy, Francis' partner Eileen and her daughter Kate. Rest in peace.

Removal from his residence on Monday morning at 10.45am to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Shercock, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Due to HSE restrictions funeral will be private to family and friends only, with a maximum of 50 people. Anybody wishing to offer their condolences may leave a message on the link below. Mary Reilly (née O' Riordan)

The death has occurred of Mary Reilly (née O' Riordan) Drumuck, Stradone, Cavan. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Hugh and loving mother of Majella Coyle,(Corfeyhone) and Martin (Ovens, Cork). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Eleanor, Eimear, Liam and James, son-in-law Brian, sisters Bridie, Doreen, Ann, Kathleen and Helen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Sunday from 5pm until 7pm. Please adhere to social distancing and guidelines. Removal from her home on Monday (via Kilnacreeva) to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Clifferna, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Margaret (Maggie) Ward (née Clarke)

The death has occurred of Margaret (Maggie) Ward (née Clarke) Dunboyne, Meath and Cavan, (formerly of Clarke's Shop, Drumbarry, Co Cavan) June 12, 2021. Peacefully at home in the loving care of her family after a battle fought with dignity, courage and fortitude. Predeceased by her husband Aidan, desperately missed by her heartbroken children. Beloved mother of Darragh, Oriana, Matthew, Aidan, Anita and Jenny. Much loved Grandmother of Xina, Nathan, Aoibhe, Alex, Nollaig, Rìoghàn, Ailbe, Sadhbh, Sloane and Great Grandmother to Cillian. Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings. When the current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating Margaret’s life with friends and extended family at a later date.

Margaret’s Funeral Cortège is expected to leave her residence through Beechdale Estate on Monday afternoon (June 14) at 1:30pm (approx.) as she makes her way to St. Matthew’s Church Drumavaddy, Co. Cavan via Drumbarry arriving for Funeral Mass at 3pm. Anyone wishing to stand along the route as a mark of respect are asked not to gather in groups and to adhere to all guidelines relating to social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
