From power tools to iPads at BJD Electrical

It has been a busy year for BJD Electrical. The early stages of the pandemic forced people to stay home and this led to a great demand for the goods and services the retailer has to offer.

BJD Electrical is one of the leading suppliers of electrical products in the county, providing a wide range of domestic and industrial electronic equipment, as well as advice to its customers.

The retail outlet has been in operation for 12 years, but the team boasts over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry for customers to tap into. Michael Cooney and Gene Callan ensure that their friendly staff provides excellent advice and service to the customer and that all of BJD Electrical products are fully guaranteed.

“The last year has been good,” Michael tells. “We were busier than we have ever been, on both the domestic and industrial level. However, since things have opened up, people seem more inclined to travel, so there has been a small dip in the last couple of weeks as people go a little further afield.”

The shop stocks everything from power tools to iPads, dishwashers to domestic lighting. The security division of BJD Electrical stock a wide range of electronic security products in the security section.

“People are refurbishing their homes,” Michael says. "We have been here to offer guidance and our products are very well priced.”

The global impact of a micro chip shortage is beginning to affect some aspects of the business. “It is driving prices up for things like televisions. It is also impacting on our supplies,” Michael tells.

The electronic lighting department in BJD Electrical provide a complete electronic lighting service to its customers. They have an extensive range of electronic lighting in stock and they supply to the domestic and industrial market.

“Garden tools and garden lights have been very popular purchases in the last year. We will talk to customers about what they want and what products are most suitable for them,” Michael explains.

“We hope that our customers won't forget us now that things are opening up. We were here when people needed us, so we are hoping that they will keep us in mind and realise the importance of shopping local. Ballyjamesduff is a great town, a great place to do business. There is so much on offer,” Michael concluded.
