Today will be another scorcher!

It looks like another blistering day as Met Éireann predict the mercury will hit the high 20s. Yesterday was the hottest day of the year and Sunday looks set to give it a run for its money so breakout the suncream.

Most of the early mist or fog patches has already cleared. It will become very warm today with long spells of sunshine across most of the country. However, in coastal areas of north Ulster it will be somewhat cloudier with patches of mist. Maximum temperatures generally ranging 24 to 29 degrees but slightly less warm along the coast due to sea-breezes. There is a small chance of a few localised heavy showers breaking out during the evening.

Staying quite warm overnight with largely clear skies and just few patches of mist or low cloud forming around dawn. Lowest overnight temperatures generally 14 to 17 degrees but a little cooler in north Ulster with lows of 11 to 13 degrees there with mostly light northeasterly breezes.
