Hot, hot, hot!

Today will be another hot and mostly sunny day, once any mist, fog and low cloud clear, report Met Éireann. There is a slight chance of an isolated heavy shower developing in the south of Ulster through the evening. Highs of 24 to 28 degrees generally, but a few degrees lower in the north of the province. Winds will be mostly light variable.

The weather is scorching for the rest of the week too with more sensible temperatures at the weekend, 20 degrees on Saturday and 21 on Sunday.

Tonight

Another warm and humid night with temperatures not falling below 14 to 16 degrees generally, though slightly cooler in north of the province. Staying dry with long clear spells but patches of mist and fog will develop again overnight in a light easterly or variable breeze.

Tomorrow

Dry, hot and mostly sunny on Wednesday. There's a very slight risk of a shower in the afternoon and evening, but most - if not all - areas staying dry. Highs of 25 to 29 or 30 degrees in a light southeast breeze.
