Work underway to restore water supplies in Cootehill

Work crews have been deployed to try to restore a water outage in Cootehill "as quickly as possible".

Households and businesses are currently experiencing disruptions in Cootehill town and surrounding areas.

Dedicated water service crews from Irish Water and Cavan County Council have mobilised and repairs are underway.

“The repairs are being conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the community in Cootehill and restore water for all customers," said Kevin Smith, Irish Water. “We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we work to return the water supply to homes and businesses as quickly as possible.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Irish Water receive direct communications from the utility company for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
