James Caldwell

Barcony, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

James Caldwell, Barcony, Ballyajmesduff, Co. Cavan, Tuesday, August 3rd 2021 (peacefully) at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents James and Annie. Deeply Regretted by his loving sisters; Brigid, Margaret, Annie (Monahan), Chrissie (Sister Chris) and Josie, brother Noel, sister in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday 4th from 4pm to 8pm for family, neighbours and friends. House private at all other times. Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 11.30 St. Mary`s Church, Castlerahan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial Afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

In line with current HSE guidelines the funeral mass will be restricted to 50 people. please maintain social distancing at all times.

Tom Conlon

7 Church View, Cavan Town, Cavan

Formerly Drumnalara, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan.

August 3rd, at the residence of his sister, Moya Carroll, Mullaghmore, Ballyconnell. Predeceased by his sister Nora & brother Paddy. Sadly missed by Ann, Oisin, Carla, Evye Rosie, sisters Moya & Ceppy, brother-in-law Jim, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Rest in Peace.

Removal on Thursday morning at 10.45am via Killeshandra & Ballinagh, arriving at St. Joseph's Church, Drumkilly, for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private please.

Due to government & HSE covid guidelines Tom's funeral Mass will be limited to 50 people.

Benny (Ben) Connolly

32 O’Duffy Terrace, Ballybay, Monaghan / Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Benny (Ben) Connolly, 32 O’ Duffy Terrace, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, late of Loch Mor Avenue, Ballybay and formerly of Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Tuesday, August 3rd, peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff and management of St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Castleblayney, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret, parents John and Elizabeth and infant siblings Mae, Bridget, Teresa, Kevin, Gerard, Peter, Jude and brothers Noel, Jim, Jack and Tommy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughters Collette O’Connor, Drogheda, Catherine Fitzpatrick, Ballybay, Janet Leonard, Clontibret and son Anthony, Carrickatee, brothers Ðermot and Brendan, Cootehill, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Sean, Paul and Paddy and daughter-in-law Katharina, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Ward's Funeral Home, Ballybay tomorrow evening, Wednesday, among family and friends from 3 pm until 9 pm. Benny's Funeral cortège will travel from 32 O’Duffy Terrace, Ballybay, on Thursday morning at 10:30 am proceeding on foot to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay, for funeral Mass at 11 am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Due to the current restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Benny's funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Ballybay Cancer Society c/o Wards Funeral Home.

Elizabeth (Betty) Meeley (née Keating)

Silverlawns, Navan, Meath / Killinkere, Cavan

The death has occurred of Betty (Elizabeth) Meeley, (nee Keating), Silverlawns, Navan, Co. Meath and formerly Termon, Killinkere, Co. Cavan. Peacefully at St. Lukes Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her daughter Antoinette and baby son Bernard James, brother Brian, sisters Maryann (Clarke), Rosetta (Culleton), niece AnnMarie Keating, grandniece Vera and Laurinda Clarke. She will be sadly missed by her sons Brian and Damien, daughters Nuala and Maria, daughter in law Linda, brothers P.J, Jim, John and Gerry, sisters Nuala (Hopkins), Patricia (Rooney) and Carmel (Moore), relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at James Fox Funeral Home, Abbeylands, Navan for family, neighbours and close friends on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m until 7 p.m. Leaving her residence on Friday morning at 9.45 a.m to St. Mary's Church for 10.30 a.m Funeral Mass (max 50 people), which can be viewed on www.navanparish.ie/livestream. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Navan.

Fionán Callan

Drumlandrick, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Fionán Callan, Drumlandrick, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, cherished son of Brian and Bernadette. Tuesday, August 3rd, following a road traffic accident. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken and devastated family, parents Brian and Bernadette, brothers Aodhan and Conor, sisters Niamh and Sinéad, girlfriend Michaela Slowey, grandmother Maisie O’Reilly (Killann, Shercock), aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours, many friends and his work colleagues at Keenan Stainless Steel.

Fionán’s funeral cortège will travel from the family home on Friday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Broomfield, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Due to current Government and HSE guidelines on Covid 19, the Callan family home is private and Fionán’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family.
