Status Yellow rain and thunderstorm warning in place

Heavy, slow-moving and thundery showers will lead to further localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions, warn Met Éireann.

The Status Yellow warning is in place and remains valid until midnight tonight.

The forecast for Ulster is for blustery with further heavy or possibly thundery showers, prolonged at times leading to some spot flooding. A few bright or sunny spells too. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, mildest in the east, in light to moderate northwest winds, fresh on Donegal coasts.

Tonight the heavy showers will continue, merging into longer spells of rain at times. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds, remaining strong on the Donegal coast.

Tomorrow

Remaining showery, heaviest and most frequent over the west and north of the province. Drier across the south and east of Ulster with a few sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees, mildest in the east. Breezy, with moderate westerly winds, fresh to strong on Donegal coasts.
