Joe Matthews

'Rockhaven', Carrickasedge, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Joe Matthews. 'Rockhaven', Carrickasedge, Carrickmacross. 6th August 2021. Suddenly at his home. Predeceased by his wife Daphne and his parents Michael & Catherine. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his sons Michael & Andrew, daughter-in-law Fiona, his adored grandson Tom, brothers Noel, Tommy (Ashbourne) & Eugene, sisters Maureen (Gainford), Kathleen (McKevitt) & Patricia (Duffy), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

At the family's request, no flowers please.

Joe will repose at his home among his family & friends, on Saturday, 7th August from 5pm until 8pm. House private at all other times.

In accordance with current guidelines Joe's Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends (limited to 50) on Sunday, 8th August, at 1pm in St. Patrick's Church, Rock Chapel, Upper Magheracloone, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects by lining the route, in a socially distanced manner, as Joe's funeral cortège leaves his home on Sunday at 12:45pm proceeding to St. Patrick's Church.
