Dick Brennan

Malahide, Dublin / Cavan

Brennan, Dick (Malahide and formerly of Carrickallen, Co. Cavan), 18th August 2021, (peacefully) surrounded by his cherished family in the Blackrock Clinic, beloved husband of the late Muriel. Very sadly missed by his daughter Kiva, sons Gareth and Rory, son-in-law Fergal, daughters-in-law Anita and Aoife, his adored grandchildren Tadhg, Aobh, Cillian, Siún, Conall, Charlotte, Sarah, Abigail, Aaron, Sadhbh and Catlin, sisters Mary, Bernadette and Ann, brothers Brendan and Joseph, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by his brothers Frank and Martin.

May he Rest in Peace.

In line with Government advice and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings a private family funeral will take place on Monday Aug 23rd.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Heart Foundation.

Kathleen O'Reilly, Highfield Road, Cavan (Retired Nurse); formerly Drumconlester, Killeshandra, Cavan.

Predeceased by her siblings Michael, Packie Joe, James, Maura, Phil, Stephen, Benny and Ann. Very deeply regretted by her brothers and sister, Tommy, John, Margaret and Eddie; nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Friday evening from 6.00pm until 7.00pm at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan. Removal from Lakelands Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 10.15am to St Brigid's Church, Killeshandra to arrive for 11.00am Requiem Mass. Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Maureen Patterson

Rahardrum Lane, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred peacefully of Maureen Patterson, Rahardrum Lane, Virginia, Co. Cavan on the 18th August, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Much loved daughter of John and Ann and adored sister of Sean, Yvonne, Anna, Sue, Jenny and Daniel. Deeply regretted by her loving father, mother, sisters and brothers, brothers in law John and Brian, sisters in law Miriam and Cliona, her aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her friend and long-term carer Margaret.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home (A82YV58) on Saturday from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock for family and friends. Removal on Sunday from Matthews Funeral Home to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia arriving for 2 o’clock Funeral Mass. Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, the Mass will be restricted to 50 persons. The Funeral Mass will be followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium at 3.30 o’clock. Maureen’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and support of the Surgical One team in Cavan General Hospital and acknowledge Maureen’s carers for their care and attention shown to her. 'Rockmount', Shercock Road, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Drogheda, Louth

The death has occurred of Dr Jimmy Carroll. 'Rockmount', Shercock Road, Carrickmacross & formerly Drogheda, Co. Louth. Peacefully at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Arlene, his brothers Colman, Desmond & Tony and his sister Sandra (Stringer), his sister-in-law Carmel, brothers-in-law Mal & Zach, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Dr Jimmy will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Main Street, Carrickmacross, among family & friends, on Friday, 20th August, from 4pm until 8pm.

In accordance with current guidelines Dr Jimmy's Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family & close friends (limited to 50) on Saturday, 21st August, at 1pm in St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Carrickmacross.

There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects by lining the route, in a socially distanced manner, as Dr Jimmy's funeral cortège leaves Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home on Saturday at 12:45pm proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church.
