Settled conditions to stretch into next week

Lingering mist and fog will clear, and sunny spells will gradually break through as the day progresses

Largely dry but cloudy conditions expected in many parts.

However, any lingering mist and fog will clear, and sunny spells could gradually break through as the day progresses.

“One or two light showers may develop in western parts. Afternoon highs of 19 to 21 Celsius for many parts in light north to northeast breezes. Cooler near western and northern coasts (16 to 18 Celsius).”

The outlook is that weather will stay settled next week, with mainly dry conditions and sunny spells. “Temperatures will be closer to normal, generally in the high teens or low twenties,” say Met Eireann.

“Mainly dry on Sunday night with clear spells. Patches of mist and fog will develop again in a light northeast breeze. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.”

It will remain largely dry on Monday also, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells.

There is the chance of an isolated light shower in the afternoon.

“Feeling a little cooler with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees, warmest in Munster, in a light northeast breeze.”
