Deirdre O'Donoghue (née Maguire)

Curraghmore, Mullingar, Westmeath / Drumalee, Cavan

Deirdre O’Donoghue (née Maguire) – Curraghmore, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and late of Drumalee, Cavan) - died unexpectedly on August 28, 2021 at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin.

Dearly loved wife and best friend of John, adored mother of Ryan and Naoise and devoted daughter of Eithne and the late Gerry. Deirdre will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband and family, brother Garrett, sister Irene, uncle, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, colleagues at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, neighbours and many friends.

In keeping with current guidelines, a private family funeral will take place on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar followed by private cremation in Cavan. The Funeral Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie. Condolences may be conveyed to the family below or a private message on Obituaries at www.gilsenanfuneralhome.ie. Margaret (Peggie) McMeel

Moy, Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggie) Mc Meel, Moy, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday 31st August 2021, in the loving care of her family.

Predeceased by her husband Packie and her son George Enda.

Peggie will be dearly missed by her family; daughter Delma, son Gerry, son-in-law David, daughters-in-law Jo and Paula, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace

Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Clara for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Due to current Covid restrictions, Peggie's house will be private and funeral service is limited to family and friends.

29 Ard Glas, Killygoan, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Formerly Eccles, Manchester. August 30th 2021 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Sadly missed by his wife Pauline, daughter Joanne, son in law David, granddaughters Georgia and Madison, sisters Jane and Tina, brothers Frankie and Kevin, mother in law Dolly, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the premises of McElvaney Funeral Directors on Wednesday (01/09/2021) from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Cremation on Thursday (02/09/2021) at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2 p.m., leaving Ard Glas at 1 p.m. House and funeral strictly private due to Covid 19 restrictions.
