Appeal to trace owner of foal found near Cootehill

There’s an appeal to help trace the owner of a foal found outside Cootehill.

The pony foal was found in the Dartrey area outside the town earlier today.

Monaghan County Council says it’s a filly foal that’s less than a week old.

The local authority says the animal is in the care of its Veterinary Services department.

It says it hopes to trace the owner and has appealed for anyone who can help to contact 042-7661240.
