It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Breege McCaul (née Rogan)

Breege Hilda Mc Caul neé Rogan, Magherintemple, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (H16FF65) and formerly of Moyrush, Achonry, Co. Sligo.

Passed away, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, in the care of staff, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Peter Mc Caul, her parents Martin and Katie Ann Rogan and her sister Catherine Mc Grath (Boston, USA).

Breege will be sadly missed by her sons Oliver, Shane, Declan, Fergal and Aidan, daughters in law Bernadette, Nicoletta, Frances, Sarah and Patricia. Her beloved grandchildren Giulia, Eoin, Sofia, Anna,Aoise, Charlie, Peter, Robyn, Annie, Aoife and Aodhla.

She is survived by her brother Martin (Achonry Co. Sligo), sisters Elizabeth (Dartrey, Cootehill, Co. Monaghan), Helen (Hillsdale, New Jersey, USA) and Margaret (Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey USA) sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Reposing at her late residence from today Sunday, until removal on Tuesday morning the 14th of September 2021 at 10.15am to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Bunnoe via Lawrence’s Cross for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan at 1pm.

Due to continuing restrictions on public gatherings the house will be private to family and friends only.

In keeping with government guidelines please adhere to current social distancing throughout the funeral.

Mary McCabe (née Byrnes)

Oriel, Ballynagown, Lisnagry, Limerick / Clones, Monaghan

Formerly of Clones, Co. Monaghan. Mary passed away, peacefully, in her 100th year, on 11th September 2021, in the loving care of the staff at St. Michael’s Nursing Home, Caherconlish. Predeceased by her husband Martin, little baby angel, son Dermot and grandsons Dónall and Robert. Sadly missed by her sons Pat and Martin, her daughter Eithne Egan, sisters Margaret and Annie, son-in-law Con, daughters-in-law Rosita and Catherine, grandchildren Aishling, Martin, Michael, Aoife, Ciara and Conor, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandchildren, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Funeral arriving at St. Joseph’s Church, Castleconnell, on Wednesday 15th September for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Stradbally Cemetery, Castleconnell. For those wishing to pay their respects to the family, the funeral cortège will leave Ballyagran at 10am approx. and travel via Castletown en route to Castleconnell. In line with HSE Guidelines and Government advice the Church will be limited to 70 people. Mass will be streamed live on www.castleconnellparish.ie and broadcast on 106.3FM. Cards and letters may be sent to Sextons Funeral Directors. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Nuala O'Connor (née McGrane)

Corlust, Castleshane, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Nuala O’Connor (nee McGrane), Corlust, Castleshane, Co.Monaghan. Friday September 10th peacefully at Glenaulin Nursing Home Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Eileen and Thomas, infant son John, brothers Padraig and Peter. Nuala, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, husband Liam, daughters Deirdre, Eilish and Fionnuala, sons Thomas and Niall, son in-law John, daughters in-law Natasha, Caroline and Nannerl, sister Mary, brother Tomás (USA), her cherished grandchildren Kate, Eve, Aoibhinn, Annie, Rory and Róisín, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
