Josh features in Modfather's latest video

Josh McClorey headlines day 2 of Blessfest 2021 in Cavan Town later this month.

The Modfather Paul Weller's latest Sunday Sessions video features a familiar face- Cavan's own Josh McClorey.

Josh, who earlier this year released debut EP 'Blessings', is a long-time collaborator with Weller, featuring on the 2015 album 'Saturn's Pattern' and 2020's ‘On Sunset’, and now on Fat Pop (Volume 1) (2021).

Fat Pop is Weller's sixteenth studio album, released in May, and this new video is from his well-received Sunday Sessions series sees the legendary English singer-songwriter joined by established faces who turn up, plug in and perform live at the stunning Black Barn studios in Surrey.

Josh himself will be performing closer to home in the coming weeks, with imminent return of Blessfest in Cavan Town.

Having recently shared the stage at Abbeylands, Josh will play the Blessing's Bar shindig, a veritable cornucopia of musical entertainment taking place between Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 25.

Confirmed on the bill so far are KCD, Blutack and the Greenhorns, and Terry Brady for the Friday night, while headlining Saturday is Josh McClorey's new band.

Organiser Paula McQuillan says the preparations are almost concluded to make sure this is a worthy return for the festival: “I am producing the programme. Dara Slack is helping to coordinate the bands who are playing. We want to keep it local,” she said of the line up.
