Celebrate Cavan Day your way!

Cavan Day is almost upon us! Taking place this Saturday, 25th September, Cavan Day is the global online celebration of the Breffni County, which will see the global Cavan family take to social media to show their love for County Cavan!

In 2020, the #CavanDay hashtag had a global imprint of more than 10 million impressions, and the web is set to be a sea of blue and white once again on 25th September 2021!

To join in the Cavan Day celebrations, all you have to do is share your love of Cavan on social media using the #CavanDay hashtag. You can post a photo of yourself wearing your county or club jersey or colours, share a video greeting with loved ones overseas, post a picture of Cavan ancestors, or even a favourite place in Cavan – the main thing is to get involved and let the world know you love your county!

A highlight of the day will be a special Cavan Day Cultural Showcase, filmed at Town Hall Cavan, featuring music, dance, poetry and drama, from the likes of Lisa O’Neill, Martin Donohoe and the Nyahs, DJ Shane Codd, The Zen Arcade, Ady Saj, Rebeca Sanchez Gallego, Noel Monahan, Mel Doherty and Shane McCloskey and more. Presented by Louise O’Reilly, this centrepiece of the Cavan Day celebrations will air online at 8pm (Irish time) on the Cavan Calling Facebook page, the Cavan TV YouTube channel, and at www.cavancalling.com

You can follow the day’s action and get involved by following @cavancalling on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and checking out the #CavanDay hashtag.
