An online musical extravaganza is set to mark Cavan Day this evening.

Cavan Day is the global online celebration of the Breffni County, which sees the global Cavan family take to social media to show their love for County Cavan!9

A highlight of the day will be a special Cavan Day Cultural Showcase, filmed at Town Hall Cavan, featuring music, dance, poetry and drama, from the likes of Lisa O’Neill, Martin Donohoe and the Nyahs, DJ Shane Codd, The Zen Arcade, Ady Saj, Rebeca Sanchez Gallego, Noel Monahan, Mel Doherty and Shane McCloskey and more. Presented by Louise O’Reilly, this centrepiece of the Cavan Day celebrations will air online at 8pm (Irish time) on the Cavan Calling Facebook page, the Cavan TV YouTube channel, and at www.cavancalling.com

Former Cathaoirleach Cllr Sarah O'Reilly is amongst the people sharing pride in the county online.
