Approval was granted by Norma Foley, Minister for Education

Approval has been given for construction to go ahead for a new extension to facilities at Kill National School.

This building project will consist of a Special Education Teaching Rooms and a mainstream classroom accommodation with en-suite facilities.

Approval was granted by Norma Foley, Minister for Education.

The news follows soon after additional permanent accommodation was sanctioned for Corliss National School near Killeshandra last week.

The new accommodation will consist of an additional classroom with en-suite toilet and a special education teaching room with en-suite bathroom facilities.

The progress at Kill NS near Cootehill was welcomed by local Fianna Fail TD, Brendan Smith, who congratulated the Principal and staff, the Board of Management and the Parents’ Association in their application. “This new building will add considerably to the school’s accommodation. I compliment the school community on their work over the years in upgrading and extending the school.”
