Another dry day with sunny spells

Weather Update

Today will be mainly dry with sunny spells. Showers in north Ulster and along the west coast will continue for a time, but will mostly die out. This afternoon, cloud will increase from the west and northwest. Highest temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees with light to moderate northwest breezes.

Tonight will be mainly dry with some clear spells in the east and south of the country. It will be cloudier in the west and north with a little drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 6 degrees, coldest in Leinster and Munster.

Friday will be mainly dry with a good deal of cloud and some drizzle in the west and northwest. The best of any bright or sunny intervals will be in Leinster and Munster. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with light to moderate westerly breezes.

Friday night will be milder than previous nights. It will be mostly cloudy and mainly dry. There will be patchy light rain and drizzle at times in the west, becoming more persistent in the northwest by morning. Lowest of 4 to 8 degrees with southwest winds freshening.

On Saturday, rain in the northwest will move southeastwards across the country, becoming lighter as it does so. The southeast will stay dry for much of the day. Drier clearer conditions and a few showers will follow from the northwest through the late afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 12 tor 13 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Saturday night will be mainly dry with a fair amount of cloud and some patchy mist or drizzle Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees, with light to moderate westerly breezes.

Sunday will be mainly dry with a fair amount of cloud and some sunny intervals, the best of these in the south. There will be a few showers in the north. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest breezes.

Monday will be mild and mostly cloudy with some patchy light rain or drizzle. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees. On Monday night, rain ill develop in the west and will spread eastwards across the country, clearing early on Tuesday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be a brighter days with sunshine and some showers, mainly in the west.
