Cavan Monaghan Science Festival returns from 6th-12th November with a wide range of events available to book online now.

The festival promotes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) as educational and social, and vital for economic growth

Online talks will cover topics such as, ‘The smart phone, is it a phone or a place?’, ‘The science of fertility’, ‘The science of horror movies’, and ‘Know your garden birds’.

A family fun day takes place at Teagasc, Ballyhaise on Saturday, 6 November from 11am to 2pm.

Thomas Townsend, Met Éireann will discuss the Ballyhaise Weather Station

Éanna Ní Lamhna will give walking talks on nature

Inland Fisheries Ireland will discuss fisheries and their role

Cavan County Council’s Environment Section will look at freshwater biodiversity

Those wishing to attend both the Met Éireann talk and the ‘Walk and Talk with Éanna’ MUST book each separately.
