Rain and drizzle for much of region

Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a little patchy light rain and drizzle at times.

That's according to Met Eireann, though the national forecaster does expect a “few bright intervals” at times in eastern parts of the province.

Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees in mainly moderate westerly winds.

Tonight meanwhile will be “milder” than previous nights, mostly cloudy and mainly dry, apart from some mist and drizzle.

Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees with southwest winds freshening.

Towards Saturday morning however, more persistent rain and drizzle will develop in the west.
