James Gibney

Beherna, Virginia, Cavan / Oldcastle, Meath

The death has occurred of James Gibney, Beherna, Virginia, Cavan and formerly of Oldcastle, Meath. Peacefully in the loving care of St. Colmcille's Nursing Home, Kells, Meath on Sunday 7th November surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by his daughter Rosemary, son in law Gerard, grandchildren Ethan & Aaron, sister May Dowd, sister in-law, brother in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at O'Dwyer's Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia, this Monday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in St. Bartholomew's Church, Munterconnaught, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

James' daughter and family would like to acknowledge the dedication of all the staff in St. Colmcille's Nursing Home, Kells, who cared for him.

Mary McKenna

Stradeen, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mary McKenna. Castleross Nursing Home and formerly Stradeen, Carrickmacross. 7th November 2021. In her 93rd year. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents Edward & Kate, her brother John and her sister Bridgie. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cousins, neighbours & many friends at Castleross Nursing Home.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

Mary will repose at her home, Stradeen, on Monday, 8th November, from 5pm until 8pm. Please adhere to continued HSE & government guidelines, wear face coverings & observe social distancing.

There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects by lining the route, in a socially distanced manner, as Mary's funeral cortège leaves her home on Tuesday, 9th November, at 10:40am proceeding to St. Enda's Church, Killanny for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
