Thomas (Tom) Brady

Broad Road, Arva, Cavan

Thomas (Tom) Brady, Undertaker & Publican, Broad Rd, Arva, Co. Cavan, Saturday, November 13th, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, in the presence of his family & close friends. Tom will be very sadly missed by his sisters, Eilish (his twin), Sr. Miriam (SSL), Bernadette Hanrahan (Newfoundland) & Rita Condron (Tullamore), his brother Bart, sister in law Pauline, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, good neighbours, all his relatives & many friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan, on Monday evening from 4pm, concluding with prayers at 7pm. Face masks are required & social distancing measures will be in place. Tom's remains will leave the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10.30am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Arva, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in Coronea Cemetery. Family flowers only, please, donations in lieu, if desired, to St Christopher's Hospice, Cavan c/o Mc Mahon Funeral Directors, Farnham Rd, Cavan.

The Funeral Mass will be broadcast live and the link will be posted when it's available.

John Francis (Johnny-Pat) Maguire

Lednagrow, Glangevlin, Cavan / Dromina, Cork

Suddenly, but very peacefully, in Mallow General Hospital, in the presence of his niece Hannah (Ann) Wallace, her husband Richard, daughter Nora-Rose and son Michael. Brother of the late Margaret Dowd Horton. Deeply regretted by his sister Susan (Fitzgibbon), brothers Thomas & Eddie, nieces, nephews other relatives & friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing in Finnegans Funeral Home Cavan (H12RF78) on Thursday from 6 pm until 8 pm. Arriving in St.Patrick's Church Glangevlin on Friday for 12 noon Requiem Mass (maximum of 50 per cent capacity), funeral after to the adjoining Cemetery.

John O'Brien

Woodside, Queens , New York, Cavan / Clare

John O'Brien, Woodside, Queen's, New York & formerly of Clare & Cavan. Died the 11th of November 2021. John was predeceased by his parents Martin & Elizabeth, his brother Michael & sister Mary Davey. Sadly missed by his wife Mary (nee Baby Reilly, Derries, Loughduff). Also missed by his brothers Frank (Eileen), Christy (Linda), Joe & Paddy, sister in law Carmel, brothers in law, Michael Mc Gahern, Arvagh, Paddy Reilly, London, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Tierney, Vincent (Vinny), Drumgore, Loughduff, Co. Cavan, Saturday 13th Nov, peacefully, at his home. Beloved son of Bridget and the late Patrick Tierney. Loving brother of Mary, Margaret, Pauline, John, Betty, Tom, Kitty and Patricia. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, neighbours and close friends.

Reposing at Lakeland's Funeral Home, Cavan, Sunday 14th Nov, from 5-7pm with removal to St. Joseph's Church, Loughduff, to arrive for 8pm. Requiem Mass Monday 15th Nov at 12pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Tallaght Hospital. Strictly House Private at all times, please.

Infant Isla Rose Baxter

Rooskey, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Unexpectedly. Cherished baby daughter of Edel and Richard and adored sister of Eve, Harry and Rhys. Isla Rose will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her parents, sister, brothers, grandparents Barbara and Sean Baxter and Geraldine and Joe Shannon, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and by all who knew and loved her.

The death has occurred of Patsy Connolly, Cuchulainn Terrace, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully after a short illness at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Sunday 14th November 2021. Predeceased by his wife Bernadette, parents Paddy and Kathleen, sisters Eileen, Lizzie, Madge, Mollie and Chrissie, brothers John, Tom and Michael. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving son Paudie, sisters Rosie (USA), Eileen (USA) and Kathleen and brother Jim, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing privately at his residence among family and friends Monday evening. There will be an opportunity for the communities of Carrickmacross and Magheracloone to support the Connolly family and to remember Patsy by lining the route from Cuchulainn Terrace to St. Patrick’s Church, Upper Magheracloone, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross (12.30pm approx).

Frank Farrell, Clonfad, Newtownbutler, Co Fermanagh, Saturday 13th, November, suddenly at his home. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Nuala and son Francis. Sadly missed by his loving family Catherine, Suzanne, Michael, Moira and Gabriella, sons-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday afternoon for family, neighbours and close friends. Removal from his home on Tuesday morning at10.30am, to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Clones, for 11am funeral Mass. Interment afterwards in Mount Saint Oliver's Cemetery, Clones.

Elizabeth (Betty) O'Connor (née O'Hanlon)

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) O’ Connor (nee O’Hanlon) Ballingarry, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan on 14th November 2021 peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Sadly missed by her husband Gerard, sons Thomas, Seamus and Mark, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her residence this Monday evening 15th November. Removal on Wednesday 17th November to St. Enda’s Church, Killanny arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
