The calendar guys and girls for 2022 were revealed at an event in the Hotel Kilmore last Thursday evening. Ellen Rudden from Cavan Town was named the winner for her stunning picture of 'Snowy'. She received a Kodaq digital camera sponsored by The Anglo-Celt and a copy of the calendar.
A shortlist of 21 photos were published in this newspaper with a voting coupon in early October. A gallery was also published on the Celt's Facebook page. The votes submitted online and via the print coupons were combined to determine the overall winner.
In addition to the cover, 12 runners up feature inside - one for each month of the year. The Cavan SPCA calendars will be printed later in the year and available for purchase in the usual outlets for just €7.
Christmas cards are also available to buy with all proceeds going to the local animal welfare charity to support its important work.
