Rosaleen Sheridan, Tower Hamlet, Cavan Town and late of Pullakeel Carrickaboy Co Cavan. Thursday Nov 25th, peacefully in the wonderful care of the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Surgical 2 ward, Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her family. Beloved daughter of the late Benny and Anna May Sheridan. Sadly missed by her partner Malachy, brothers and sisters, John, Brian, Philip, Dympna, Collette, Martin, Stephen and Marian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends reposing at the home of her brother John and sister-in-law Teresa, Pullakeel, Carrickaboy today Friday from 5.00pm until 7.00pm and on Saturday from 3.00pm until 5.00pm for family and close friends. Removal from John's and Teresa’s home on Saturday evening at 5.30pm to St Matthew's Church Drumavaddy to arrive at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 1.00pm interment afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. Those attending funeral are asked if possible to wear a pink tie or scarf in memory of Rosaleen no flowers please donations in lieu if desired to Cancer research through donations box provided or to Declan Finnegan funeral director or any family member.

Elena Danileviciene, 6 Arden Estate, Cavan Town, Thursday, 25th November, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved mother of Zita and Bernard; loving grandmother of Kamile, Rokas and Vilus and devoted great-grandmother of Karolis, Daniel and Lucas. Sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends and loved ones.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home from 3pm on Friday, 26th November, followed by cremation service at 4.30pm.

Drumliff, Ballyhaise, Cavan

Ann Johnston (née Poyntz), Drumliff, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, Thursday 25th November 2021. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert. Ann will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken son Edward Haughton, daughter Hilda Haughton, grandchildren also sadly missed by her sister Florrie and family, neighbours and friends.

Resting in Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet H14 R583 on Saturday, 27th November, from 1pm – 2pm for friends and neighbours. Funeral cortege leaving Lawlor’s Funeral Home on Saturday at 2.15pm travelling via Gannon’s Cross, Cloverhill, Drumliff, arriving at Ballyhaise Parish Church for funeral service at 3pm, followed by burial in the adjoining church burial ground.

Maureen Kilkenny (nee Donohoe) Newtown, Ballinagh, County Cavan who passed away peacefully on the 25th November at her residence. Sadly missed by her loving husband PJ, predeceased by her brother Brendan and deeply regretted by her son Sean and daughter Geraldine, son-in-law Brendan and daughter-in-law Yvonne and grandchildren Pierce, Grace, Mary, Conor, Oisin and Brian, sisters Chris and Clare and brother Gerry, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the Lakeland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road Cavan on Friday, 26th November, from 5pm until 7pm. Removal from her home on Saturday, the 27th November, to arrive at St. Feilim's Church, Ballinagh for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. In keeping with current government guidelines , please adhere to social distancing and wear a face mask in the Funeral Home and Church please.

Margaret McAveety

Margaret McAveety (nee Mc Govern, Shruffanagh, Dowra) Tullybrack, Corlough, Co. Cavan and formerly Gowlan, Corlough, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, Thursday, 25th November, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband John and brother Mike.

Margaret will be affectionately remembered by her heartbroken children, Mary, Frankie, Michael, Ann, Mairead, Sean, Liz, Noreen, Brian and Blaithin, spouses and partners, her adored grandchildren Raurai, Sean, Náoise, Dallán, Natasha, Elisha, Aine, Cearbhall, Caolan, Cormac, Dean, Eva, Molly, Evan, Hugh, Fiachra, Roisin, Luke, Kayden, Alex, Chloe, James and Daniel. Fondly remembered by her loving brothers and sisters, Mae, Arthur, Nora, Myles, Kitty and Annie and all her wider family circle and the wonderful legacy she leaves behind.

Reposing at her home, Tullybrack, Corlough, H14 KD98, tomorrow, Friday, 26th November, from 2pm to 8pm. Please honour the family's privacy outside of these hours.

Margaret's funeral cortege will leave her home to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Corlough, Saturday, 27th November, for Mass at 12 midday, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the Nursing Staff of Medical 2 and Palliative Care, Cavan General Hospital and Chaplain, Fr Gerry Kearns, for their compassion and kindness in our hours of need.

Matthew (Mattie) McCABE

Goatstown, Dublin / Bailieborough, Cavan

McCABE, Matthew (Mattie) – (Goatstown and formerly of Kilnacross, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan) 24th November 2021 (peacefully) in his 98th year at St. Vincent’s University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brothers, sisters and daughter-in-law Veronica. He will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his beloved wife Joan, sons John and Noel, his adored grandchildren Caoibhe and Barry, great grandchildren Ben, Bonnie and Alex, John’s partner Ciara, daughter-in-law Angie, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 10.30 am in the Church of the Holy Cross, Dundrum followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. Joan McKiernan

Rosskeeragh, Belturbet, Cavan

Joan McKiernan, Rosskeeragh, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, 25th November 2021. Predeceased by her husband James. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, daughters, Breege Kelly (John), Shiobhan O’Connor (Willie), sons, Seamus and Padraig, grandchildren, Neil and Joanne, great-grandchildren, Eva, Alyssa, Sophie and Noah, the great staff and her good friends at Oak View Nursing Home, nephews, nieces, neighbours and many great friends.
