The Zen Arcade to kickstart Irish tour

‘Band's latest single Alone In Monochrome' charted high

Cavan band The Zen Arcade are set to kickstart their Irish tour later tonight.

The band, founded from the break-up of fab four piece The Strypes, will play Derry's Sandinos on Friday, December 3; followed by shows at Winthrop Avenue, Cork (December 10); Dolan's in Limerick (December 11); Galway's The Roisin Dubh (December 15).

The closest chance fans of the band in Cavan have to seeing the band, who recently released their latest extraction from their own label, Dental Records, titled ‘Alone In Monochrome', is at Dundalk's Spirit Store (December 17) and The Grand Social in Dublin (December 18).

The band's debut single ‘Don’t Say A Word’ gained a number 1 spot on the iTunes Singles Chart the day of release and entered the National Singles Chart at No.12, and earned xtensive radio support across Ireland, UK, USA and European radio stations followed.

The Zen Arcade's Irish tour is a precursor to a string of shows planned for in the UK next year where they'll play Lending Room, Leeds (April 7); The Attic, Glasgow (April 8); Gullivers, Manchester (April 9); The Cookie, Leicester (April 10); Rough Trade, Bristol (April 12); Shacklewell Arms, London (April 14); Bodega, Nottingham (April 15); and Stockton Calling, Stockton (April 17).
