New Archbishop to be installed on Sunday

THE new Archbishop of Tuam, Francis Duffy, will be installed next Sunday.

He bade an official farewell to the Diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise at the weekend.

The Archdiocese will officially welcome Archbishop Duffy on Sunday at a ceremony in Tuam Cathedral.

He replaces Castlebar native Dr. Michael Neary who has retired after serving as Archbishop of Tuam for the past 26 years.

Attendance at Sunday's ceremony is strictly limited due to the ongoing Covid situation.
