Snow and ice warning issued for Cavan tomorrow

The country's had cold and frosty weather this week.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for the country tomorrow as Ireland continues to experience icy and frosty weather.

It says scattered showers of hail, sleet and snow can be expected tomorrow night, along with icy stretches on roads.

It says the cold spell will last from Thursday evening through to Friday morning and will bring hazardous travelling conditions in some parts.

Showers will be most widespread in the west and north of the country where some accumulations are likely. Isolated thunderstorms will occur also.

The warning, in place for the whole country, is valid from 4pm tomorrow (Thursday) until 11am on Friday morning.
