It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Joe Day

Derrymore, Corlough, Cavan

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Ann, daughters Fiona (Partner Charlie) and Joanne, grandchildren Darragh and Mya, relatives and a large circle of friends.

MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.

Joe's remains will repose at his late residence on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm for family, neighbours and close friends. One way system in place to visit the family home.

Entry will be from L1030 (Marsh Road) and exit via R202 (Swanlinbar / Ballinamore Road). HOUSE STRICTLY PRIVATE AT ALL OTHER TIMES.

Joe's remains will arrive at Saint Patrick's Church, Corlough for Mass of the Resurrection on Monday at 12 noon via R202 Swanlinbar / Ballinamore Road followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

If you would like to pay your respects along the route as the funeral cortège passes please observe Government and HSE Guidelines.

Covid restrictions with mask wearing and social distancing apply at all times.

Catherine (Kathleen) Kelly (née Brady)

Drummartin, Dundrum, Dublin / Kilcogy, Cavan / Offaly

KELLY - Catherine (Kathleen) née Brady, late of Drummartin, Dundrum, Dublin 14 and formerly of Cloncovid, Kilcogy, Co. Cavan, January 8th, 2022, (peacefully) in her 100th year, in the gentle care of Eliza Lodge, Banagher, Co. Offaly. Beloved wife of the late Desmond, loving mother of Karl, Mary Byrne,(Birr) and Gerald, sadly missed by her son-in-law Micheal, daughters-in-law Clare and Liz, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, brother Eddie, sister Bridie (McEnroe),nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May she Rest In Peace.

Breffni Court, Blacklion, Cavan

Hugh Patrick Maguire, Breffni Court, Blacklion, Co. Cavan, ex Finner Camp, Suddenly. Sadly missed by his brothers Jimmy (Belfast), twin brother Peter (Surrey), Eddie (Blacklion), sister Bridie (Boston), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his brother Eddie’s house Rockview, Blacklion on Monday from 3pm with removal on Tuesday morning at 10.30 to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial afterwards in Killinagh Cemetery.

Due to the current covid pandemic, house is strictly private to family and friends.

Those wishing to pay their respects can do so as the funeral cortege makes its way to Killinagh Church. The family appreciate your understanding and support at this difficult time.

Anna Mc Ginn (née Kelly)

Lisalea, Newbliss, Monaghan, H18 XV99

The death has occurred of Anna Mc Ginn, nee Kelly, Lislea, Newbliss, Co Monaghan. Predeceased by her husband Paddy-Joe. Anna passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Saturday 8th January. Cherished mother of Philip. Anna will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her son, daughter-in-law Paula and adored grandson Darragh, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, her many friends and by all who knew and loved her.

Anna will be resting at the residence (H18XV99) of her son and daughter-in-law Paula this Saturday evening from 6pm and again tomorrow Sunday from 12noon with removal on Monday afternoon at 1.30pm to St Laobhin's Chapel Killeevan for 2pm Funeral Mass.

Fiona Mohan (née Grealy)

Tydavnet Village, Tydavnet, Monaghan, H18 XH39

The death has occurred of Fiona Mohan, nee Grealy, Tydavnet Village, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan and formerly of 25 Devin Reilly Terrace, Monaghan. Fiona passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in the care of the staff and surrounded by her loving family, Friday, 7th January. Cherished and adored mother of Corey, Jamie, Jack, Casey Jane and Charlie. Fiona will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons, daughter, sisters, Maureen, Dympna, Patricia, Peggy, Siobhan, Bridge and Michelle, Paul, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, her many friends and by all who knew and loved her.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Fiona will be resting at the family home amongst her family until removal on Monday morning to arrive at St Dympna's Chapel, Tydavnet for 11am Funeral Mass followed by private cremation in Lakeland's Crematorium Cavan.
