Mostly dry and cloudy

Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees generally

Patchy rain is expected in parts of the west and north, but Saturday will remain mostly dry and cloudy with light to moderate southwesterly breezes.

According to Met Eireann, high pressure will continue to dominate the country's weather pattern this weekend and into early next week, bringing with it generally settled conditions.

Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees generally, but this may dip a “little colder locally” in the east and south.

Highest temperatures for the day of 6 to 9 degrees, minimum temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees Celsius in the west but a little colder in the east with temperatures dipping down to between -1 and 3 degrees Celsius with a touch of frost possible under any clearer breaks.

A few mist and fog patches also.
