Man hospitalised after weekend attack

Male (20's) treated at Cavan General Hospital

A man was hospitalised following an an alleged attack last weekend.

Emergency services were called following the incident, which occurred at a premises located in Cavan Town in the early hours of last Saturday, January 23.

The male, aged in his 20's, suffered what have been described as “non-life treating injuries”.

He was subsequently taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana confirmed: “Gardaí attended the scene of an alleged assault on a premises Main Street, County Cavan, on Saturday 23rd January  at approximately 1:10am.

“A male (20s) was taken to Cavan General Hospital to be treated for non-life treating injuries.”
