Tributes paid at death of 'true gentleman' Cillian

TRAGIC Club urge others to reach out

A local GAA club has urged others in need of "help or guidance" coming to terms with the "sudden and tragic" loss of a friend and teammate to reach out to support services available.

Kill Shamrocks issued the appeal following the heartbreaking death of Cillian Boyle from Campstown, Kill, Cootehill, earlier this week. His local club shared a post on social media articulating that the talented sportsman's passing "can affect so many people in many different ways".

Cillian is survived by his parents Michéal and Maria, and his siblings Katie, Ciara and Darragh. He is predeceased by his grandad Tom and his death is deeply regretted by his family, extended family, relatives and neighbours especially the McIntyre family, and "all the great friends he made along his short journey in life".

The Kill club shared what is one of a number of tributes made following the former St Aidan's Comprehensive student's death on Monday last, January 24.
