Gráinne progresses in leadership awards

Kilnaleck Macra na Feirme member Gráinne McPhillips has progressed to the final stage of the ABP leaders of the year competition. This competition is proudly sponsored by ABP Foodgroup and is run in association with Macra Agricultural Skillnet. The purpose of the competition is to promote and recognise the young leaders in Macra and acknowledge their volunteering efforts and the contributions they make into developing their local communities.

Members across the country are nominated by fellow Macra members and have had to complete a series of interviews and tasks to reach the final.

Gráinne, who is currently the chairperson of Kilnaleck Macra na Feirme and the development officer for the county, is delighted to have been chosen as one of the six finalists. The final takes place today (Thursday), January 27 and will be streamed live on the Macra na Feirme facebook page.
