It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Mary (Mollie) Galligan (née Flood)

Rock House, Omard, Kilnaleck, Cavan

Mary (Mollie) Galligan (nee Flood), Rock House, Omard, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan. Thursday, February 10th (peacefully) in her 100th year at Esker Lodge Nursing Home. Pre-deceased by her husband Pappy and daughter Mary MacEoin. Sadly missed by her son Peader, daughters; Margaret, Eileen, Rosaleen and Anne, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home Kilnaleck on Friday evening from 4pm to 6pm (walk through only please) followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Ballinarry arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Please adhere to mask wearing and social distancing protocols.

Micheal Shanaghy

Late of Drumury, Corlismore, Cavan

Micheal Shanaghy, late of Drumury, Corlismore and Manchester, England. Who died on 16th January 2022 in Manchester. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Ellen Shanaghy.

Funeral Mass at 12 noon in Our Lady Dopours Church, Salford on Monday, 14th February. Burial afterwards in Agecroft Cemetery, Langley Road, Swinton.

Stephen McKenna

Mill Street, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Stephen McKenna, Folkestone, Kent and formerly Mill Street, Monaghan, October 21st 2021. Deeply regretted by his daughters Joyce and Karen, brothers Thomas, Kevin and Seán, sister Marie, relatives and friends.

R.I.P.

Funeral service was held in Folkestone, Kent with cremation afterwards.

Funeral Mass in St. Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan on Saturday (12/02/2021) at 11 a.m., subject to Covid 19 guidelines.

Burial afterwards in St. Joseph's Old Cemetery, Latlurcan.
