Blustery day with bright spells ahead of Storm Eunice

Ahead of Storm Eunice, Met Éireann forecast that today will be a blustery day with bright spells and scattered shower of rain or hail, turning heavy at times.

Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in a fresh and gusty westerly wind. Cloud will build from the southwest later in the day ahead of rain and strengthening winds from Storm Eunice.

Storm Eunice will track over Ireland on Thursday night and on Friday bringing very strong winds and falls of heavy rain, sleet and snow. Some disruption is likely along with a possibility of coastal and spot flooding. Warnings will be updated on Thursday morning.

The Yellow Status warning will be in place from 1am on Friday morning to 3pm on Friday evening.
