It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie
Mary Dunne (née Dinneny)
The death has occurred of Mary Dunne (née Dinneny) Cabra, Dublin / Killeshandra, Cavan, February 25, 2022, suddenly but peacefully in The Mater Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Will be very sadly missed by her beloved husband Philip, son Michael, daughter Catherine, daughter-in-law Lisa, son-in-law Stephen, grandchildren Aoife, Connor, Patrick, Luke, Philip and Katie, brothers Tom, Michael and Noel, sisters-in-law Mary, Pauline and Liz, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Lanigans Funeral Home, Cabra, on Monday afternoon, February 28, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Tuesday morning, March 1, to Church of the Most Precious Blood, Cabra West, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Maghera Cemetery, Cavan.
Mary’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff in the Sacred Heart Ward in The Mater Hospital for their wonderful care.
Flowers are welcome, however donations, if desired, can be made in lieu to The Mater Foundation. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live on Tuesday morning, March 1, at 10am via the following link:

Margaret Mc Caul
The death has occurred of Margaret Mc Caul Tunnyduff, Bailieborough, Cavan.
Died February 25, 2022, peacefully, at Fairlawns Nursing Home, Bailieborough. Predeceased by her parents, brothers James and Bernard, sisters Mary and Brid. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing this Sunday evening at Clarke's Funeral Home Bailieborough, from 4pm - 6pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Brigid's Church, Knockbride West, arriving for 11 o'clock funeral Mass followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Please adhere to Covid Guidelines. Ann Tierney
The death has occurred of Ann Tierney Killyconnan, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan. Beloved daughter of the late James and Bridget. Saturday February 26. Peacefully in the wonderful and loving care of her work colleagues at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her family. Sadly missed by her loving family, Judy, Kathleen, Gerard, Dessie, Dympna, John, Breda and Noeleen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home Dublin Road Cavan tomorrow Sunday from 6.00pm until 9.00pm, with removal from her home on Monday morning to St. Dympna’s Church, Lower Lavey, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Palliative care, Cavan Care of Declan Finnegan Funeral Director or any Family member

Dan Kerr
The death has occurred of Dan Kerr, 4 Fairview, Clones, Monaghan. Dan passed away peacefully, in his 100th year, in the loving care of the staff of Mullinahinch House Nursing Home, Mullinahinch, Monaghan. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary, brothers Mick, Owen and John, sisters Annie and Molly. Deeply regretted by nieces, nephews many relatives and very good friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Removal from Lawlor's Funeral Home Ernehill, Belturbet, Cavan at 6:30pm on Monday 28th Feb. to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Clones, at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11:00a.m, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Clones, Monaghan. Please adhere to Covid 19 guidelines. Family Flowers only please.
