Scór returns with talent in spades

A total of 16 clubs participated in this year’s county final of Scór na n-Og in Stradone Community Centre last Sunday.

Adjudicators from Fermanagh and Leitrim praised the high standard in each discipline. Bean a Tí for the day was Cornafean’s Marie Caffrey; while County Board chairman, Ciaran Callaghan, was in attendance to present the winners with their medals. He was ably assisted by Michael McGibney, chairperson of Scór.

A special presentation was also made to Geraldine Duggan who has acted as Scór secretary, giving almost three decades of service, and playing a part in quietly nurturing talent and confidence in so many young people coming through Scór na nÓg since 1994.

The winners now go forward to the Ulster Semifinals on Saturday, March 19, at 3pm in Bessbrook, Co Armagh.
