James (Jimmy) Hyland

Pullamore Near, Cavan Town, Cavan

James (Jimmy) Hyland, Pullamore Near, Cavan. Tuesday March 22nd 2022 peacefully, at home, following a very short illness, surrounded by his heartbroken family. Beloved husband and best friend of Josephine and loving and devoted father of Lorraine, Catriona and Patrick. Pre-deceased by his brother Benny. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Michael (Cavan) and John (Dublin), his adored grandchildren Chelsea, Leah, Darragh, Ryan, Daniel, Shay, Amber and Senan, his sons in law Harry and Charlie and daughter in law Cliona. His great friends and in- laws, Anna and Pat, Hugo and Bernie, (Blackrock, Co. Louth) and Betty, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and extended family. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan on Thursday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Walk through only, wear masks and no hand shakes, please. Removal on Friday morning to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Phyllis Caffrey (née Whelan)

Bridge House, Cavan Road, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Phyllis passed away peacefully Tuesday 22nd March at College View Nursing Home Cavan in the loving care of her family and nursing staff. Predeceased by her son Nicholas and her brother Maurice. Deeply regretted by her husband Frank heartbroken children Philomena, Martina and Francis, her adored grandchild Nicola, brothers Seamus and Patrick, sister Rosaleen O' Toole, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

REST IN PEACE.

Removal to St Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff on Thursday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery on the Oldcastle Road. House private please.

Phonsie (Alphonsus) Comey

Fairview, Dublin / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

The death has occurred, unexpectedly, of Fonsie Comey, Fairview, Dublin and late of Curraghkeel, Ballyjamesd­uff, Co. Cavan, at the Mater Hospital Dublin, on March 20, 2022. Predeceased by his brothers Kevin, Jody, Brendan and Martin and his niece Claire ( Branham). Deeply regretted by his brothers Paddy and Nicholas and his sisters Mary and Breege, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sisters in law, brother in law, relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at Matthews' Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia ( A82YV58), on Thursday from 4 o'clock until 8 o'clock. Removal on Friday morning arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Lurgan for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Brendan Mc Dermott

Bishopscourt, Clones, Monaghan, H23 AN24

The death has occurred of Brendan Mc Dermott, Bishopscourt, Clones, Co.Monaghan. Brendan passed away unexpectedly in the loving care of his wife Ann, Monday 21st March.

Beloved husband of Ann and adored father of Fiona (Shane Moore) and Joseph (Aimee), devoted grandfather of Megan, Ryan, Charlee, Flynn,and Brody. Brendan will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister Geraldine (Maguire, Newbliss), brothers James (Newbliss) and Jonney (Clones), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved him. Brendan is predeceased by his sister Winnie and brothers Benny and Liam.

Brendan will repose at his residence (H23AN24) tomorrow afternoon Wednesday (23rd March) from 4pm to 8pm and again on Thursday afternoon (24th March) from 4pm to 8pm, with removal on Friday morning at approx 10.15am (25th March) to arrive at the Sacred Heart Chapel, Clones for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver's Cemetery, Clones. House private to family this Tuesday evening and Friday morning please.

John (Jack) Mealiff

Drumacoon, Newbliss, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Jack Mealiff, Drumacoon, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully, at Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan in the care of the staff and surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Rowena and grandson Gary. Cherished and adored father of Norman, Jacqueline (Jim Magennis, Belturbet) and Wendy (Melvin Brogan, Clones). Jack will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his, daughters, son, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Fred and Fred's wife Anne, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, extended family and by all who knew and loved him.

Jack will repose at his residence tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday (23rd March) from 4pm to 9pm with removal on Thursday afternoon (24th March) at 1.30pm to arrive at St. Laeban's Church of Ireland, Killeevan for 2pm Funeral Service. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Graveyard.

Rosnaglough, Newbliss, Monaghan

Peter Moley Rosnaglough, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan March 22nd 2022 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving Wife Catherine (katie) nee Boyle, son Stephen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family Sons Eamon, Sean and Declan Daughters Catherine and Bernadette, Sons-in-law, Daughters-in-law, Brothers Philip and Fr John, Nephews, Nieces, Grandchildren, Relatives and Friends.

Reposing at the home of his son Eamon and daughter-in-law Jacinta and granddaughter Ciara. Family request the family home is strictly private please.
