Patrick (Paddy) Duffy

Fort View, Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Duffy. Fort View, Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross. 11th April 2022. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by his beloved wife Denise. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his sons Brendan & Kevin, his daughter-in-law Nicci, his granddaughters Ciara, Isabella & Amanda, his sister Maureen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Paddy will repose at the Communal House, Fort View, Lisdoonan, on Good Friday, 15th April, from 4pm until 7pm.

Paddy's funeral cortège will leave the Communal House on Holy Saturday, 16th April, proceeding on foot to St. Mary's Church, Lisdoonan, for Funeral Liturgy at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining new Cemetery.

Mary King (née Byrne)

Cooltrimegish, Castleblayney, Monaghan, A75 EF97

The death has occurred of Mary King, Cooltrimegish, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Tuesday, April 13th, peacefully, at Daisy Hill Hospital Newry, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tom.

Mary, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her daughters Josephine and Bernie, sons James, Thomas and David, sons-in-law Eddie and Shauny, daughters-in-law Caroline, Alison and Linda, her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Joey, brother in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her residence tomorrow, Thursday, from 12noon until 9pm. Removal from her residence on Good Friday morning at 10:30am (proceeding on foot) to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Lough Egish for Funeral Liturgy at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Jimmy Leonard

Stranagarvagh, Smithborough, Monaghan

The death has occurred Jimmy Leonard, Stransgarvagh, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan. Jimmy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife Tess and family, Wednesday 13th April. Retired Fianna Fail TD, 1973-1997. Predeceased by his sister Alice Aughey and brothers Paddy and Tom. Beloved husband of Tess and adored father of Raymond (Patricia), Joe (Ann), Colette (Des Henry, Kildare), Ann (Ted Ryan, Kildare), Ciarán (Joanne). Jimmy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, sons, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, Ellen, Ciara, James, Sarah, Thomas, Conor, Clodagh, Donal, Ellie, John, Leonard, Kitty, Maisie, Thady, Aoibhínn, Meábh and Iarlaith, sisters Eileen (O'Boyle, New Jersey, USA) and Mary (Leonard, Dublin), sisters-in-law Una, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Jimmy.

Benny Murphy

The death has occurred of Benny Murphy, Cavanaguilla, Castleblayney Co Monaghan. Tuesday 12th April 2022, unexpectedly, at his home.

Predeceased by his parents, Owen and Nellie Murphy, and his sister in law Marie Murphy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers Paddy and Eugene, sister in law Marie Murphy, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

May his gentle soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Benny will repose at his niece Helen Traynor’s home at Tullynacrunnat, Castleblayney (Eircode A75 W998) on Friday, 15th April 2022, from 2pm until 10pm. House private at all other times. Please adhere to continued HSE & government guidelines & wear face coverings.

Benny’s funeral cortège will leave Helen’s home on Saturday afternoon at 12.20 pm arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for funeral liturgy at 1 pm with burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, where Benny will be laid to rest alongside his beloved parents Owen and Nellie.

Mary O'Rourke (née McGee)

Drumgurra, Corduff, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mary O'Rourke (née McGee). Drumgurra, Corduff, Carrickmacross. 12th April 2022. Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Predeceased by her father Andy. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her beloved husband John, her son Daniel and her daughters Catherine & Jacqueline, her son-in-law Kieran, her adored grandchildren Ellie, Taisce & Tadhg, her mother Kathleen and her brothers Jim, Andrew, Mick & Martin, her nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Mary will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, A81 D328, on Thursday, 14th April, from 4:30pm until 6:30pm. A ceremony to celebrate Mary's life will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, H12 RF78, on Friday, 15th April at 11:15am, followed by cremation.
