Niamh Crosby Memorial Bike Run takes place

Registration starts at 10am at Enagh House on the Virginia-Bailieborugh Road (A82E5D8). Entry €20.

The Niamh Crosby Memorial Bike Run will take place late today (Easter Sunday, April 17).

The run starts at Enagh House in Virginia at 12pm, proceeding through Virginia and onto Ballyjamesduff before travelling to Cavan Town. From Cavan Town the cavalcade of vehicles will travel along the N3 into Butlersbridge and Redhills, before returning to Virginia via Cootehill, and Bailieborough.

A large turnout is expected, and registration starts at 10am at Enagh House on the Virginia-Bailieborugh Road (A82E5D8). Entry €20.

Apprentice hairdresser Niamh, from Curkish Lane, Bailieborough sadly passed away, March 18, 2016, age 24 years, at St James' Hospital, Dublin. She had been diagnosed with Ovarian cancer only months earlier.

The money raised will from the weekend run will go towards kitting out the family comfort room located at the James' Hospital in Niamh's memory.

The funds will also go towards much-needed equipment that will help other patients through their treatment and care at the hospital.

This is the first time the Niamh Crosby Memorial Bike Run has taken place since before the Covid pandemic.
