It is with regret that we note the following deaths from counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

John Dan Floyd

Ballybofey, Donegal / Crosserlough, Cavan

FLOYD, John Dan (Dreenan, Ballybofey and formerly Lismulladuff, County Donegal) – 24th. April 2022.

John is now reunited with his beloved wife, Lesley, following a peaceful passing at his home in Crosserlough, County Cavan, surrounded by his children Debbie, Anita and Peter. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Martin, Steven, Craig, Amanda, Philip, Stephen, Cara and Matthew, his great grandchildren, son-in-law Martin, daughter-in-law Linda, brothers Kevin and Christy, sisters Agnes, Rose and Kathleen, his extended family, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Caulfield, Tullyco, Cootehill, Cavan

Suddenly at Beaumont Hospital. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Philip and Mary, brother Philip, sister Sharon, partner and best friend Nicola. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and many, many friends.

Peadar McSherry

Drumambry, Killeshandra, Cavan

Peadar McSherry, Drumambry, Killeshandra, Sunday 24th April 2022, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Helen and brothers Joe, Enda, Oliver and Tommy. Very deeply regretted by his beloved wife Nuala, son Aiden, daughter Orla, son-in-law Andrew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Lawlor's Funeral Home, Belturbet on Monday 25th April from 6pm - 8pm. Respectfully request that people refrain from handshaking. Removal from his residence on Tuesday at 10.30am to St. Brigid's Church, Killeshandra for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Minnie Browne (née Lennon)

Lisnadaragh, Shercock, Monaghan

Peacefully at Our Lady's of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Reposing at her residence Sunday evening from 6pm until 10pm and Monday from 12pm to 8pm.

Elaine Sheridan (née Deery)

Shean, Drumhowan, Castleblayney, Monaghan, A75 WR91 / Ballybay, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Elaine Sheridan (née Deery), 67 Wylie’s Hill, Ballybay and formerly Shean, Drumhowan, Castleblayney, Monaghan. (Former Proprietor of Lady’s Day Bridal, Glaslough Street, Monaghan) 24th April 2022. Peacefully, after a short illness surrounded by her adored family and close friends. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her devoted husband Gavin, her cherished children Lily and Conor. Her much loved parents Seamus and Roisin Deery, brother Ciaran, sister Grainne, parents-in-law Leo and Betty Sheridan, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncle, nephews, nieces, extended family and wide circle of friends.

May Elaine’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Elaine will repose at the Deery family home, Shean, Drumhowan, Castleblayney, Monaghan (A75 WR91), Sunday 24th April, from 5pm. Parking at Drumhowan GAA grounds only please.

Elaine’s funeral cortège will leave from the Deery family home on Tuesday, 26th April, at 10:30am arriving to Our Lady of Knock, Ballintra for Funeral Mass at 11.00am followed by burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

House private Tuesday morning please.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Ballybay Cancer Society c/o Mc Caughey Funeral Directors.
