Killeshandra Health Centre due for completion by end of June

The construction of the new Health Centre in Killeshandra is due for completion at the end of June this year.

The HSE has given the update to Cavan Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith.

Welcoming the progress, Deputy Smith told the Celt today:

“The HSE in their response to my ongoing representations stated that once completed the new Primary Care building will be comprised of one Primary Care Team with capacity for wider services in Primary Care and other divisions who will be able to avail of bookable space.

"The provision of a modern Health Centre with up to date facilities will enhance the delivery of health services for the Killeshandra area. I have asked the HSE to ensure that as wide a range of services are provided in Killeshandra as soon as practicable when the new building is complete.”

Planning permission for the new centre was granted in late 2018 but the project was held up due to issues around site access and parking, as well as Covid related delays.
