Gretta Brady (née Boylan)

Gretta Brady (née Boylan), Naheelis, Milltown, Belturbet, County Cavan, 11th May 2022, in her 90th year, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff of Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet, where Gretta was comfortable and received great care over the last four and half years. Predeceased by her loving husband, Packie, parents William and Katie Ann, sister Josie and brothers John and Pat. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Breda (Killeshandra), Ann (Dublin), Mairead (Kildare), sons Tomás (Killeshandra), Phelim, Sean (Milltown) and Matthew (Killeshandra), sisters Kathleen Browne (Butlersbridge), Mae Fay (Redhills), brother-in-law Eugene, sons-in-law Martin, Joe and Dermot, daughters-in-law Catherine, Anne, Margaret and Carmel, grandchildren, Matthew, Catriona, Karen, Ciara, Niamh, Maria and Orla, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Gretta will repose in Lawlor's Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet (H14 R583) on Thursday evening, 12th May, from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from her residence on Friday morning at 11.30am for Funeral Mass at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Milltown, followed by burial in Drumlane Cemetery.

Face masks should be worn and social distancing observed. Those who would like to attend in person but cannot may leave a condolence in the online book below, which will be very much appreciated by the family.

Marian Cooke (née Tuite)

Lisnalurg, Sligo Town, Sligo / Virginia, Cavan

May 10th 2022 peacefully in the care of her family and the exceptional team at North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo. Dearly loved wife of the late Hugh and mother of Monica, Kevin, Deirdre, Lorna and Maria.

Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Alan, Eamonn, Adrian and Pat, daughter-in-law Mary, sisters-in-law, Sr. Veronica, Mary, Ramona and Sr. Annette, grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Philomena Sherlock (née Clarke)

Boynabought, Dublin Road, Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Philomena Sherlock, née Clarke, Boynabought, Dublin Road, Kingscourt, 10th May 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the Louth Hospital, Dundalk in her 96th year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Patsy, her parents Bridget and Patrick Clarke, siblings James, Annie, Nelly, Maisie, Kathleen, Phil, Owen, Paddy and Josie.

Much loved mother of her daughters, Jennifer, Carol, Alison, Norma, Marie and sons Pat & Johnny. Deeply regretted by her sisters-in-law Rita Brady, Molly Burke and Maura Sherlock. Sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of neighbours, family and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros Funeral Home on Thursday 12th May from 2pm until 8pm. Philomena’s funeral cortège will begin from her home on Friday morning, 13th May at 9.30am travelling to the Church of the Immaculate Conception for Funeral Mass at 10am, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Deirdre Byrne (née Winters), Clonturk, Killanny, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully after a long illness at The Louth County Hospital, Dundalk Wednesday, 11th May 2022. Predeceased by her husband Pat, parents Charlie and Kathleen, brother Martin and Kenneth. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons Patrick and Colin, daughter-in-law Maggie, grandchild Sadie, sister Ann, brother Declan, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Peggy (Margaret) McMeel, Knocknagrave, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan, H18 F991, Wednesday 11th May peacefully in the loving care of her family.

Deeply missed by her loving husband George, sons Eamon (Maire) and Malachy, daughters Anna-Marie Woods (PJ), Roisin Carragher (Martin) & Kay Treanor (Mickey), grandchildren, great-granddaughter (Sophia Treanor, New York), sister in law Moira Soraghan, brother in law Tom McLoughlin, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Peggy's remains will repose at the family home (H18 F991), until removal on Friday morning to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe for Funeral Mass at 11am.
