It is with regret that we note the following deaths in Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie
Hugh (Hughie) Fay
Longfield, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co. Cavan.
Died 12 May 2022, peacefully, at the residence of his son Matthew. Beloved husband of Rita and cherished father of Alison, Matthew, Deirdre, John, Eoin, Daniel and Andrew. Will be very sadly missed by his wife and children, their spouses and partners, his adored grandchildren, brother Eugene, sisters Mary and Nan, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing this Friday at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, from 5.00pm to 7.30pm, concluding with prayers. Funeral cortège leaving his residence on Saturday afternoon to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Bunnoe, for Requiem Mass at 2.00pm, and can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/bunnoe with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Face coverings are asked to be worn throughout, with walk through only in the funeral home and people are asked to refrain from handshakes and hugs.

Peacefully in Cavan General Hospital.
12th May 2022, Swellan, Cavan, beloved sister of Maureen Crowe, Edermin, Cavan. Sadly missed by her loving sister Maureen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Friday 13th May from 6pm to 8pm; removal on Saturday, 14th May, from Lakelands Funeral Home, to arrive at St Brigid’s Church, Killygarry for Requiem Mass at 1pm, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.
Raimundas Kubilius
No. 4 Diamond Apartments, Monaghan Town, Monaghan
Raimundas passed away at his residence on Thursday, 12th May, suddenly, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his son Karolis Kubilius, daughter Egle Kubiliute, partner Vineta Nice, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Mc Kenna's Funeral Home, Park Street, H18X 710, Friday 13th May. Raimundas' remains will arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral, Saturday, 14th May, for requiem Mass at 4.30 o'clock.
