Showery week for Cavan ahead

A wet start for many today with showery rain, heavy in places. The rain and any mist and fog will clear north during the morning or early afternoon. The rest of the day will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with scattered showers.

Some of the showers will be heavy with the potential for localised thundery downpours. They will become isolated during the evening.

Mild and humid with top temperatures of 17 to 19 Celsius in fresh southeast winds, which will veer moderate southerly during the day.

TONIGHT

Briefly becoming drier with clear spells early tonight. However, it will turn cloudier from the south with outbreaks of rain spreading northwards over the region later.

Becoming blustery as the rain spreads with fresh or strong and gusty southeasterly winds developing. Mild with lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees. The rain likely to clear again by morning or soon after.

TOMORROW

Tuesday will bring bright or sunny spells but showers or longer spells of rain too with the risk of some thundery downpours.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in fresh southerly winds.
