It is with regret that we note the following deaths in Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Maurice Donohoe

Tierlahood, Stradone, Cavan

Peacefully after a short illness in the care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Adeline, brother John Vincent and brother-in-law Bernard. Greatly missed by his daughter Marie, sons Brian and John, grandchildren Michaela and Jack and Marie’s partner Kevin, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May he Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Lakeland's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow, Thursday, from 6pm - 8pm (Walk through only). Removal from his residence on Friday, to arrive at St. Michael's Church, Clifferna, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family, friends and neighbours.

Edith Stuttard (née Gillespie)

Clonandra, Redhills, Cavan

Edith Stuttard (Gillespie). Passed away in Liverpool on the 22nd April and formerly of Clonandra, Redhills, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by her father Alfred, mother Isabella and brothers Bert, Mervyn and Joe. Sadly missed and remembered by her her sister Elizabeth (Betty) her sister in law Essie Gillespie and all the extended family.

Funeral arriving at 2pm to Killoughter Church of Ireland on Monday, 30th May, for Funeral service. Burial in adjoining graveyard.

Nancy Fanthorpe

Teremacmo, Castleshane, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Nancy Fanthorpe, Teremacmo, Castleshane, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully In the loving care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Anthony and her son Tony. Sadly missed and remembered by her daughters Bernadette, Margaret, Marie and Jacinta and her sons Patrick and Declan, sons-in-law Enda and Nigel, daughter-In-law Aine, grandchildren and great-grandchild and wider family circle.

Reposing from her home Wednesday, 25th May, from 10pm. From 4 p.m. Until 9 p.m. on Thursday. House strictly private all other times and the morning of the funeral. Removal Friday morning at 11:20am arriving at St Mary's Church, Clontibret for funeral mass at 12pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary McCarville (née McMahon)

Strangagarvey, Smithborough, Monaghan

Wednesday 25th Peacefully at Mullinahinch Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband James. Loving mother to son Seamus (Ann) and daughters Kathleen (Charlie) and Breda (Pat).

Reposing at her home Strangagarvey, Smithborough from 8pm this evening (Wednesday) and Thursday from 2pm to 10pm until removal on Friday morning at 10.15 am to arrive at St Mary's Church, Magherarney for 11 am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her son, daughters, daughter in law, sons in law, grandchildren and entire family circle.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
