Owner sought of cattle found wandering on Dublin Road

Gardai not sure makeshift fence will hold

Gardai in Cavan are appealing for the owner of cattle found wandering on the Dublin Road to come and collect them.

Responding to a call this morning, the resourceful gardaí managed to construct a pen of sorts out of pallets at a nearby industrial park.

Gardaí posted on their social media account: "This morning the lads in Cavan did a spot of farming when they received a report of cattle wandering on the Dublin Road. Not only did they take two black white heads and three limousins off the road they fenced them in an area beside Monaghan Electrical Wholesalers. Whoever owns them please move fast as the fencing looks a bit dodgy."
