Bridget (Delia) Cassidy (née Mulvihill)

Dernacrieve, Corlough, Cavan

Predeceased by her husband Pat Joe.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Siobhan (Delvin, Co. Westmeath), her son-in-law Aidan Conlon, her grandchildren Helen, Sean, Ciara and Evan, her brothers and sisters, her extended family, neighbours and friends

Headfort Park, Virginia and late of Swords, Co. Dublin and Monaghan.

2 July 2022, two days from his 83rd birthday, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, after an illness borne with courage, dignity and good humour.

Predeceased by his much loved son Ciarán.

Cherished husband of Roisín and loving father of Fionnuala, Féargal and Siobhán and loving Grandad of Jack and Derry.

Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, son and grandchildren, daughters in law Lisa and Shadé, sister in law Caitríona, nephews, nieces, his many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Matthews' Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58), on Wednesday evening from 6 o'clock until prayers at 8 o'clock. Walk through only please and the family respectfully request no hand shaking, please.

Removal on Thursday morning arriving to Mary Immaculate Church Virginia for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private please at all times.

Peter's family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care, attention and dedication received by him from the doctors, consultants and nurses in Beaumont Hospital, Cavan General Hospital and Dr. Gillian Begley in Virginia Medical Practice.

Brendan (Benny) Malone

Drumgill, Kingscourt, Meath / Kingscourt, Cavan

Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness fought with great courage and his usual good humour.

Predeceased by his parents John (Johnny) and Mary (May). Deeply missed by his heartbroken wife and best friend Angela (Angie) (née Hubble), daughter Lauren, son Ian, adored grandson Elliott, son-in-law Michael, sisters Marion (Mitchell), Carmel (Hurley), brothers John, Jim, Robbie & Harry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Kingscourt (A82R3W2) on Monday, 4th July from 5pm to 8pm. A private cremation will take place at a later date for family and close friends.

Tom Smith

Southampton, England and formerly of Corcreagh, Shercock, Co. Cavan

Died on 30th June 2022 peacefully in his 82nd year in England.

Pre-deceased by his parents Alice and John and his brother Jim. Tom, beloved husband of over 50 years to Yvonne and loving dad to Stephen and David. Sadly missed by his hearbroken wife, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, his brothers Joe, Pat and Paul and sisters Mary, Sister Dympna, Eileen and Rita, extended family and many friends.

Leanne Carbin (née Bradley)

Terrytole, Ballinode/Middle Village, Queens NY, Blackwater Vale, Milltown, Monaghan.

Peacefully in the loving care of her family and staff of Medical Ward 3, Cavan General Hospital.

Loving wife of Noel and devoted mother to Madison and Ryan. Much loved daughter of Liam and Monica, beloved sister of Donna Marie (Paddy), Padraig (Katriona), Grainne (Gerry), Ciaran, Melissa (Andrew) and a dearly loved sister-in-law of Damien (Denise), Sean (Aimee) and Stephen (Ciara). Predeceased by her father-in-law Peter.

House strictly private to family and close friends, by request.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday 6th July, 2022 in St Mary's Chapel, Urbleshanny, Scotstown, Co Monaghan at 11am, burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Dear daughter of the late Sarah and Thomas Mackin and beloved wife of the late Peter. Much loved mother of Kathleen Quinn [Jonesborough], Bernadette McKenna [Magoney], Margaret Flynn [Magoney], Ann Brennan [Corduff], Owen Kennan [Magoney] and Pauline McBride [Killany]. Predeceased by sister Kitty. Deeply regretted by sister May McKenna and brother Tom Mackin. Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law and sons-in-law. Remembered with love by her 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her late residence today, Monday 4th of July, from 12pm to 9pm. Removal Tuesday morning at 10.30am to the Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen, arriving for 11am funeral Mass. Saturday 2nd July surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his father Joe, mother Annie and brother Michael. Loved always by his wife Margie, son Colm, daughters Nicola (Brendan Murphy) & Laura (Mark Carey). Sadly missed by his much loved and cherished grandchildren Dáire, Donncha & Conor, sisters Margaret Fannin, Ena Clerkin & Brenda Keaskin, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, the wider Shalvey, Hannigan & Rice families and a large circle of friends and organisations.
