It is with regret that we note the following deaths from counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Cathal Fitzpatrick

Dublin Road, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan

Monday July 4th 2022, peacefully, in the loving care of his family and the staff at Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan. Beloved son of the late Charles C. and Bridget Fitzpatrick and brother of the late Tommy, Sean and Tilly. Cathal will be very sadly missed by his sisters Eileen Leddy, Dublin and Bridie Gaffney, New York, his brother in law Brendan, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, neighbours, all his relatives and many friend.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12 C821, on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Walk through and refrain from handshaking, please. Masks are advised. Removal from the home of his nephew Charlie and wife Helena, Urney, on Thursday morning, arriving to St. Felim’s Church, Ballinagh, for Funeral Mass at 11am and burial will take place after Mass in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of you for your co-operation, understanding and support for them at this time.

Bridget (Delia) Cassidy (née Mulvihill)

Dernacrieve, Corlough, Cavan / Ballyduff, Kerry

Predeceased by her husband Pat Joe. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Siobhan (Delvin, Co. Westmeath), her son-in-law Aidan Conlon, her grandchildren Helen, Sean, Ciara and Evan, her brothers and sisters, her extended family, neighbours and friends

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim (N41 TD62), on Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from her home in Dernacrieve on Wednesday morning to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Corlough, Co. Cavan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

John Patrick Dolan

Booterstown, Co.Dublin (Formerly of Corlough, Co. Cavan)

2nd July 2022.

Peacefully, in the care of the staff at Kylemore Nursing Home, Bray, surrounded by his loving family. He will be remembered by his loving wife Louisa his son Kevin and daughter Jane, predeceased by his son Brian, his niece and nephews, also his 5 adoring grandchildren, extended family and friends.

John will be reposing in Massey Bros Funeral Home Blackrock (5 Newtown Park A94 X308) on Tuesday 5th July from 5-7pm. Funeral Mass will be held in The Church of the Assumption in Booterstown at 10.00am on Wednesday 6th July 2022, followed by burial in Shanganagh Shankill. Patrick (PJ) Fallon

Cremoyle, Swans Cross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Gardenfort, Dysart, Ballinasloe, Co Roscommon

PJ passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in the Care of the staff surrounded by his loving family Monday 4th July. Predeceased by his parents Julia and Patrick, his brothers Larry and David and his nephew Padraic.

Beloved husband of Phyllis and adored father of Dermot and Sean. PJ will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, sons, daughter-in-law Farona, adored grandchildren Chloe, Alisha and Cian, sisters Sr Mary, Bernadette and Josephine, brother James, sisters-in-law brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved PJ.

PJ will repose at the family home (H18DX01) tomorrow, Tuesday, from 4pm to 8pm, (family time at all other times please), with removal on Wednesday morning at approx 10.15am (6th July) to arrive at the St Laobhins Chapel, Killeevan for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. Family time on Wednesday morning please.

Wearing of face coverings would be appreciated.

Dean Roe

Tullynamalroe, Loughmourne, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan

Saturday, July 2nd, at The Mater Hospital, Dublin. Pre-deceased by his father Dave. Dean, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, wife Julie, daughter Faye and husband Stuart, son James and partner Gaby, mother Marie, brother Stuart, sister Gemma, father in-law David, his cherished grandchildren Thomas, Poppy and Isabella, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Dean will repose at Ward’s Funeral Home Castleblayney, tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon, from 5pm until 7pm. Dean's funeral cortège will travel from the family home in Tullynamalroe on Wednesday morning at 10.40am to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Lough Egish, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan at 1.30pm.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to The Irish Heart Foundation c/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box.
