Appeal after Lisnaskea incident

People have appealed for information after a pedestrian was injured in Lisnaskea.

The PSNI says the incident happened between 2.30 and 3pm last Saturday (July 30).

It’s understood a tractor and a lorry passing through the town hit a low hanging wire, which in turn caused a block to fall, damaging a vehicle, a marquee and injuring a pedestrian in the area.

Police have issued an appeal for the driver of a lorry who passed through Main Street, Lisnaskea in the direction of Newtownbutler or the driver of a New Holland tractor which was carrying hay, to make contact. The tractor was travelling in the direction of Maguiresbridge.

A PSNI spokesperson said "it is believed both vehicles passed through the Main Street outside the Diamond/Market Square and collided with a low-hanging wire which caused a block to fall, causing damage to a vehicle, a marquee and causing injury to a pedestrian.”

Police have appealed to any motorists in the area who may have dashcam footage of the incident to make contact.
